For the past two decades, we have worked with the University’s Planning and Design Departments’ project managers to provide moving, installation, project management, and decommission services across all campuses*.

The Planes Difference:

  • Local: Our proximity to campus allows us to be on-site quickly and easily for project management.
  • Responsive: We commit to a quick turnaround times for quotes. We also devote a dedicated customer service and project coordination team to each customer.
  • Experienced: We assign the same crews to projects when possible, and the account manager is, himself, a UC graduate.
  • Community Engagement – STEM Bicycle Club: For the past three years, we’ve partnered with UC to donate time and labor to STEM programs at 25 local middle schools. In 2017, we picked up and delivered almost 300 bicycle kits to students, who assembled the bikes and rode them on UC’s campus as a celebration of success.

Project Spotlights:

Rieveschl Hall:

  • Moved furniture and equipment from various spaces – including teaching labs, preparation labs, procedure rooms, offices, and conference rooms – out of the 8-story, 234,000 square foot building during a 2-year, multi-phase renovation
  • Moved all furniture and equipment back in to the building upon the renovation’s completion

Modernizing campus libraries into media center environments:

  • Removed books and repositioned shelves to adjust the stacks from full-height to half-height
  • Moved furniture internally to create a more open environment

Two-year renovation of the Teachers College:

  • Removed furniture from the old building, stored it in UC’s warehouse, and documented and categorized all items
  • Conducted a phased move over nine months, relocating approximately 500 staff to an old residence hall during the relocation, and in to the new, 700,000 square foot building upon completion
  • Decommissioned older furniture that was no longer needed in the new space

Additional off-campus storage facility relocation:

  • Moved all materials from a multi-level warehouse to a bi-level, one million square foot facility
  • Assisted the university in inventorying and organizing the materials in storage
  • Once the old space was transformed into an Innovation Center, we moved staff members and furniture in

Planes has also provided project management and move management services for:

  • University of Dayton
  • Miami University
  • Northern Kentucky University
  • Ohio State University
